Some sketches

So, I was going to join an ATC swap on Swap-Bot, but I didn't meet all the requirements, so they booted me from the swap (which is perfectly all right. I mean, rules are rules, right?).
I absolutely hate the way Sally turned out, by the way. Ugh. She definitely needs more work! Thankfully I didn't have to send these out, haha.
Anyway, here are some sketches of the cards I was going to send.

Okay, giveaway time!

The First Ever Swappin' Fan Girl Giveaway

Here's the skinny:
I've decided to give away a homemade crocheted scarf. The scarf is complete! It is 136.5 inches long (without the tassels)--which means it's just over 11 feet long! I love making super long scarfs, because I live in an area that gets pretty cold, and I like to bundle during the winter months. You can also take the tassels off if you like, they can be snipped easily! Here are the photos:

Rules:
Pretty simple. Just comment on this post and leave some way of contacting you (swap-bot.com name, e-mail address, Twitter account, tumblr name, etc.) and you will be entered.
There will only be one winner this time around, but I already have ideas for what to do with my next giveaway.
The winner will be picked randomly via Random.Org on October 3, 2011.

Good luck, y'all!

Swaps so far

I've gotten a bunch of swaps finished, so here's some of the stuff I received.

Summer recipe swap

QUICK 5 Somethings #12

His name is ZUUL. So cute.

The stickers inside the envie.

The Wonderful Life

Pen Swap!!!

The card I got with it—SO gorgeous! Be jealous. It's okay.

Cutest little kawaii envie ever.

And TONS of paper inside! This woman got a heart, but if I could, I would have given her 5 of them.

Old drawings & doodles

All right. I know it took me longer than promised, but things have been hectic around here lately.

Anyway. Here's some old drawings and doodles I did. They're from high school (10+ years ago), so don't you judge me. :P

I fell in love with vampires when I was in middle/high school and started reading Anne Rice.

 Some paints, too!

New photos coming soon!

All right, I found my camera battery charger, and I'm planning on getting my photos up tomorrow for the swaps I've gotten so far.

I've also decided that my first giveaway will be a crocheted scarf, since winter is right around the corner. It's almost done, and when I finish it, I'll post a picture with an update on how to win it.

Quick update

Just to let my followers know, I haven't forgotten about my blog. I have misplaced my battery charger for my camera, so I'm going to spend all day tomorrow trying to find it so I can start updating more.

I'm also thinking about doing some giveaways, though I'm not sure what to give away. Any suggestions?

Chibi Dean Winchester Cuteness

I do a little bit of drawing from time to time, and one thing I have adored is drawing little chibi characters. I don't know why. Maybe it's because they're adorable. Maybe it's because I can't actually draw draw. Either way, here's a cute little Dean Winchester chibi I drew a while ago, and I thought I would share.

Step one: The basic outline.
I tend to draw on whatever kind of paper is handy at the time, and for me, that can be pretty much any kind of paper known to man (excluding toilet paper. I imagine that would be difficult to draw on). In this case, it's legal pad paper.
I drew the basic outline of what I wanted the chibi to look like, including balls for the feet and the fists.
Step two: Body outline.
From there, I added the general outline of the body. In this step, I added some "muscle tone" to kind of flesh out how I wanted the arms and legs to look.

Step three: Erasing & starts of the face.
In this step, I start erasing the outline of the basic body form I decided to use. I also started the general idea of what I wanted the face to look like.

Step four: More details, more erasing.
Just like the title of this step says, I added more details to the face, including the hair and a cuter than cute chibi smile for Dean.

Step five: Clothing.
In this step I added the jacket, shirt and shoes I wanted on him.

Finished product.
I gave him rock hands and finished erasing the extra lines, and once I was finished I imagined him listening to "Rock You Like A Hurricane" by Scorpions. It's truly all in the details, right?
